Bury Ron Paul on Digg

Ron Paul and his supporters are spamming Digg and manipulating it's services. There has been a list of Ron Paul supporters posted on iaocblog.com listing these users. (Check it out here)

From World Affairs Board:
For those who want to help make sure Dr. Paul’s message gets out…

Here’s the most effective and easy way I know:

- Visit Digg / News
- Keyword search “Ron Paul”
- Then “digg” every story that has the word Ron Paul in the headline.

That’s it!

This gets him additional attention; I’ve seen it work very well before. It’s already working for Dr. Paul.

Usually there are around 25 Ron Paul stories on Digg every day. I Digg them about three times a day. What are your thoughts about this approach and about Ron Paul?

Now, two can play at this game. Make a new digg account, post it here, and together we will BURY Ron Paul on digg.

I support Ron Paul and I am not a "spammer." I do vote for articles that I agree with on Digg but I do not mindlessly digg every article that has Ron Paul in the Heading. I read every article that I vote for because I have come across many that are attacks against paul, like this one for instance, and instead of voting for it, I will comment honestly instead. Digg has Rules concerning the Bury Button but it is an Honor system. I only suggest that you read those rules and consider your Honor.

Thank you all for helping us draw attention to Dr. Paul's campaign and message. What you are doing may not be totally justified from an ethical standpoint, but I want to and I want to encourage you to do it.

However ...

attempts to "bury" him and his message have a strong history of backfiring. Just look at the Iowa debate exclusion. Ron Paul had more people in his hall at the counter-event than the original debate that was put on by Ed "the Failure" Failor.

You should also ask yourself whether you are wasting precious time doing this or not. Are you opposed to Ron Paul's message and policies, or just to the fact that he has very passionate and committed supporters?

If the former, more power to you. An open exchange of ideas is always best, and that is only possible if there is opposition. If the latter, however, maybe you should ask yourself whether the other candidates' supporters aren't doing the exact same thing - and are just less effective with it? For, after all, there simply aren't that many people who can get real excited about Mitt Conme or Trudie Ghouliani.

It is always interesting for me to observe how so many people immediately assume that the support base of the only trustworthy and always above-board politician out there consists of nothing but phony spammers, while the supporters of phony double-talkers and back-peddlers are presumed to be unimpeachable in their integrity.

And that, finally, leads me to conclude that many of the Ron Paul buriers may have some integrity issues themselves. Could it be?

PS: Look at RP's Meetup numbers nationwide and compare them to those of ANY other candidate. All phony support, right? Just flesh-and-blood human "bots" who can't think for themselves, right?

C'mon, guys. This is ridiculous.

Looks like a lot of anonymous people against Ron Paul. He actually has good ideas (IMHO) and very passionate supporters. Read/hear what he has to say before you go into lock down mode and head back out to the skateboard park.
